SEO (Search Engine Optimization) plays a key role in improving your website’s visibility, usability, relevance, and user experience. It also helps you create content that people want to consume. Therefore, creating content with SEO in mind will help you gain a loyal following and establish your website as a reputable source of information.

Here’s an SEO checklist for you to start building your website and creating content for your target audience.

Website/Blog Creation and Hosting

1.      Spend time choosing the right niche for your products or services or content.

2.      Decide what’ll work for you – a website or a blog.

3.      Use popular Content Management Systems such as WordPress or Blogger as they are UI friendly.

4.      Finalize a name for your website that’ll represent what you do and who you are.

5.      Check domain name availability online and on social media using www.namechk.com.

6.      Buy your final domain name from websites like GoDaddy or BigRock.

7.      Create an attention grabbing, simple, and easy-to-remember logo.

8.      Add a favicon to your website. You can create a favicon at www.favicon.com for free.

9.      Reserve an email address to secure your brand before anyone else (Ex: yoursite-name@gmail.com or example@yoursitename.com).

10.  If your website doesn’t have a blog, create one in WordPress or Blogger and share your content updates.
